Blessings When We Don't Expect Them

This holiday season has been a particularly rough one for various reasons..namely it was the first one away from family.  It's been a smaller Christmas.   However, my daughter reminded me today of all of the blessings that have been put in front of us.  HOW is it that small children can see what it is that we can not?  So, I sat back and looked at all of the wonderful things that we have been given.  The beautiful city that we live in..the fun Christmas activities that we were able to take part in this holiday season.  I thought about the wonderful dinner we were about to share together  and the looks on the kids faces as they opened the gifts they had.  Snow started to fall at 9:00 Christmas night..another blessing.  A small reminder as I looked at the white yard that everything was perfect, fresh, and new.  So, that being said..Merry Christmas to all and many blessings to you and your families.  May you remember the reason for the season and may God bring many blessings to your family.
